The Legend Of Zelda Amigurumi To Celebrate One Year Of The Nintendo Switch

The Legend of Zelda is such an iconic part of many people’s childhoods, and for some of us, even our adulthood. Since it’s been one year today since the Nintendo Switch was launched, along with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, HiyaHiya Europe is celebrating the day with some amigurumi from the iconic franchise.

Zelda and Link from Ocarina of Time amigurumi

by Wendy Korz Wendy Korz

Perhaps the most famous of all Legend of Zelda games, Ocarina of Time is a masterpiece from the beginning in Kokiri Forest to the end where the world diverges into two timelines. These two amigurumi dolls are beautiful representations of the Nintendo 64 classic.

You can find the pattern on the Mango Rose Etsy store. The designer recommends Lily Sugar’n Cream Solids and Denim yarn to recreate your adventure into Hyrule. HiyaHiya’s Ultimate Crochet Set is ideal to get you started, and maybe you’ll recreate the whole journey from start to finish.

skull kid amigurumi majora's mask
You’ve met a terrible fate, haven’t you? Skull Kid has stolen your horse and you’ve somehow ended up in Termina and there’s three days before the Moon crashes into the world. Alright, not in reality, but in Majora’s Mask that was quite the problem, and the only way around it was using the ocarina to evade time.

This Skull Kid amigurumi doll has amazing detail, bringing the antagonist to life. Unfortunately there isn’t a pattern available, but luckily HiyaHiya Europe is here for you with gift sets that will mean you’ll always have the tools for a variety of jobs!

ganondorf amigurumi

by quxminusonequxminusone

The most iconic antagonist in the Zelda series is Ganondorf, the epitome of evil itself. The only male born into the female civilisation of the Gerudo, he used his status to commit atrocities. Unfortunately, there is no pattern for Ganondorf, but this amigurumi doll is so inspiring that I’m sure it’ll inspire many reincarnations of Link’s arch-enemy.

navi ocarina of time zelda amigurumi

By Holland Morris

Hey Listen! I know, running around Hyrule with Navi was quite the nuisance. She always had something to say about every situation, preventing your momentum towards Hyrule castle. If you’re one of the oddities that enjoyed Navi’s incessant need to advise you, then now you can crochet her into you life.
The designer recommends Red Heart Super Saver Solids yarn and a crochet hook with a 4.0mm tip size, with HiyaHiya’s Aluminium Crochet Hook the perfect master sword to defeat any problems you may have with this pattern!

Hestu breath of the wild zelda amigurumi

By TheTallGrass

Hestu’s fellow Koroks stole all the seeds in his maracas and he needs you to go track them down…all 900 of them. The extensive gameplay of Breath of the Wild was basically doubled thanks to Hestu and his Korok seeds, and now you can take even more time and crochet him into your existence. Unfortunately, there was no pattern available, but luckily you’ll be able to stitch up a string of creativity and use your own artistic interpretation!

goron zelda amigurumi

By making it well

Munching on rocks all day has never been the delicious pastime many of us would have hoped for. As for the Gorons, this is life on top of their volcano. Now due to your burning enthusiasm for both amigurumi and The Legend of Zelda, you can crochet this adorable guy into existence. Unfortunately, to disappoint once more, no pattern was available.

sidon breath of the wild zelda amigurumi

By Unicate

Sidon’s appearance in Breath of the Wild started a series of memes when strange people decided they took more than a liking to this muscular fish. Now those same oddities can crochet up a shoal and recreate our favourite Zoran. There’s a lot of detail but it isn’t as tricky as it seems. Zelda amigurumi fans should definitely give this one a go.

bokoblin moblin zelda amigurumi
Rampaging around Hyrule are these slightly-dim foes. In Breath of the Wild they wisened up a little and figured out horse-riding, but were still easily dispatched. Moblins and Bokoblins are an integral part of the Zelda franchise and now you can crochet some finger puppets in their image.

The designer recommends Lily Sugar’n Cream Solids & Denim yarn, with a 4.0mm crochet hook.  HiyaHiya Europe being more reliable than Beedle, we have just the tools you’ll need in our crochet hook shop, so never doubt your ability to defeat moblins again!
