Gotta Stitch Em All Kanto Ends, Legend Begins

Our Kanto journey ends, and we’ve seen a lot of amazing patterns. For the final frontier, we meet some of the rarest pokémon in the region. These will be the hardest stitches and you may never even find them, but if you do, don’t waste the opportunity!

#144 – Articuno

A legendary bird pokémon with long and distinctive tail feathers. Articuno is said to appear if you are freezing on a snowy mountain. You’ll only get one chance to stitch the freeze pokémon, so make it a good one!

#145 – Zapdos

A legendary bird pokémon that appears with a gigantic thunderstorm. Zapdos flies with the buzz and a crack of electricity. Like Articuno before, there will only be one chance to stitch the electric pokémon.

#146 – Moltres

Known as the legendary bird of fire. Every flap of its wings creates a dazzling flash of flames. If Moltres injured, it is said to dip its body in the molten magma of a volcano to burn and heal itself. The flame pokémon can only be stitched once.

#147 – Dratini

Long considered a mythical Pokémon until recently when a small colony was found living underwater, Dratini is known as the mirage pokémon because so few have seen it. The dragon pokémon will be a rare stitch for even the most accomplished crocheters.

#148 – Dragonair

Lives in large bodies of water like the sea and lakes. Dragonair is said to have the power to change the weather and fly. The dragon pokémon is even more elusive that its predecessor.

#149 – Dragonite

Has intelligence on par with people. This “sea guardian” is said to be capable of flying around the globe in about 16 hours. Dragonite is extremely rare, with a hidden island somewhere said to be their home.

#150 – Mewtwo

A vicious psychic pokémon created by genetic engineering. Mewtwo’s cold, glowing eyes strike fear into its enemy. Not even the leader of Team Rocket, Giovanni, could control the genetic pokémon, this will be your toughest test!

#151 – Mew

A mythical pokémon of South America which had been thought extinct. A growing number of people have seen Mew recently, or at least thought they had! You will probably never encounter this pattern, but if you do, don’t waste the opportunity.
